Javier Barrantes
Javier Barrantes specializes in cultivating exotic varietals such as Gesha and F1 on his farm in Sabanilla de Sarchi, Costa Rica. We were first introduced to Don Javier’s wonderful coffee through Beneficio Genesis where this lot is processed. F1 is a newer Arabica hybrid, which Javier, among other progressive farmers, took a chance on hoping to produce a fine cup — while maintaining his farm’s integrity through various coffee disease outbreaks. This is our third season with this coffee, and it seems to just get better with each cycle. Thank you Javier for your stewardship.
